Second Mile is a UK Community Interest Company supporting homeless people and those facing mental health and addiction challenges. We exist to make sure no one has to face their hardest days alone.

The phrase “second mile” comes from an old idea: doing more than is asked, more than is owed. For us it means staying past the easy wins — sitting with someone through a relapse, finding a landlord who'll give a second chance, showing up next week, and the week after.
